Success of 3 Idiots manifests the Transforming Consciousness

Watching “3 Idiots” was such a deeply moving spiritual experience, that I had to venture into write my feelings about this movie. Such majestic paradoxes are woven, as the tussles break out between the characters who are deeply authentic and those who believe that they can manipulate and grab success somehow. |

While one set of characters are just trying to mold themselves to the system so that they can take full advantage of it, the other set of characters are flowing in harmony with their inner self and living life moment to moment with a deep urge to excel, which comes with the intense presence in the present moment.
The movie seems to celebrate the law of karma, “create and share value and life will reward you.” Such a powerful message is delivered in highly effective manner. I have a strong feeling that this movie is just a manifestation of the new consciousness which is in the process of unfolding. It is the time to move away from mental manipulation games and self oriented fantasies and to be authentic and relish life. It is the time to drop the hard working, ego boosting attitude and rather discover the deep spiritual ecstasy and begin to flow with life.
“3 Idiots” captures and manifests the undercurrent of the society so beautifully. Something which society is already feeling underneath, but it is not apparent yet. Mayan prophecies have often been talked about so often for past few years, but we have not yet understood the deep meanings behind this prophecy. For past 19 years, we have been in a consciousness based on mind. People living in ambitions, fantasies, and false notions of themselves are all reflections of this mind based consciousness. Such a consciousness has affected our lives immensely as we have believed more in what we want to be rather then discovering who we are truly.
We all started to believe that once we achieve success, have lots of money, have a beautiful wife / girlfriend or a rich husband / boyfriend, the miseries of life will be resolved. This has caused the rat race to intensify all around us. We have seen everyone pursuing something, some notion of success, yet no one seems to be happy. Not only those who have failed are sad, but even those who have achieved so called success seem to be miserable. This question has now begun to bother masses, was this race for success totally futile?
Since this undercurrent is already there, and people are seeking answers, this movie comes as an eye opener with many powerful messages. “Don’t pursue material success, rather seek the joy of heart“, seems to be the message well conveyed and well received. “Don’t run after success, rather focus on enhancing your capability and success will run after you”, seems to be the mantra for glorious living. Thank God, someone said it so emphatically to this world. People just spend their energies in manipulating, snatching success at any cost, finding the right connections and still hope to achieve the permanent success. But such strategies to attain success prove fragile, as expected, and hence induce more and more insecurity leading to immense stress.
We all live in the world created by mental fantasies, far away from the spiritual reality. There is no wonder that we are witnessing so many suicides all around us. Not only those, who have failed, but even those who succeeded are turning suicidal, as they have lost the connection with their own soul and hence nothing can give them happiness. This movie not only highlights the current scenario but also shows the way towards authentic living. This movie seems to be a harbinger of the next consciousness that is unfolding as predicted by mayan prophecies.
Success of this movie suggests that the world around us is ready to transform. Enough of the ambitions and race. Enough of weaving self oriented fantasies. Enough of manipulations and strategies. New realities of life are now unfolding. The Reality that we need to be true to our spirit to enjoy the life and excel in our work. The Reality that connecting with others in deep love is nourishing for our own being and fulfilling our life.

begin to flow with life - you have expressed it very accurately with these words, Shivo. I mean, most of the times, we are flowing with everything else but life. As they say It’s all about money,honey, we are taught the ways to flow with which brings us money, regardless of any other things such as happiness or satisfaction of work we’re doing.
3 Idiots have been a path making movie and I hence I totally agree with you when you say the world around us is ready to transform. Enough of the ambitions and race.
