Government of Gujarat Wins a Precious UN Award

Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs gave a precious award to Chief Minister’s Office, Government of Gujarat on June 23, 2010 for “Improving Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in the Public Service Category under ‘BETTER MANAGEMENT – BETTER PUBLIC SERVICE’ sector.

In this cadre, CM’s office, Government of Gujarat was the 2nd place winner by United Nationas Public Service Awards. First award was one to Women Policy Division, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Women Friendly City Project of Republic of Korea.

    Gujarat is an example to other States of India no doubt! We have to appreciate the CM’s relentless efforts in all spheres of development in that State! Gujarat will achieve so many laurels apart from this small UN certificate as time goes on, sure!
