Note: I was selected by Rotary Foundation for its exchange program called Group Study Exchange(GSE) for Scotland. I visited West of Scotland for tenure of one month, i.e. from September 8 to October 8, 2012. We were total five members, one team-leader and four team-members. All my posts regarding my experiences of this program are posted here on SpeakBindas under the category of GSE Scotland. Read on..

The best part of reaching to Dunoon was its mode of transportation – a Ferry. The cool breeze singing cold songs in your ear, surrounding scenic mountains & river, cloudy sky and reaching to almost end of GSE program. It was first time I had been on a ferry in Scotland.

At Dunoon, except one team-member, we three team-members and our team leader were hosted by Russell Buchanan, who is the president of the club. He actually run B&B(Bed & Breakfast), so it was more like staying in a guest-house. And it was good in terms of we had been staying with families all along, and now we felt somewhat more freedom comparatively.

When I think of staying in his B&B, all I can remember is the gallery at first floor. The view from the gallery was awesome. I could clearly see ferries going to other shore and returning, a very long & huge river right in-front, cool breeze, fascinating weather and a rainbow. It was just a perfect place that I might have seen in my dreams! Couldn’t expect a better view.

As Russell runs B&B, we had plenty of options for breakfast – from fresh fruit to anything we would like to have. Different kinds of tea & juices. I didn’t eat much of breakfast but tea was delicious. I had been for morning walk when it was drizzling too a bit. Aah! that was so full of solitude & peace all within. The walk to remember indeed. He had gifted all of us a muffler that was good in looking and useful in cold weather.

Thanks Elaine for your comment. Yes, Rotary is an amazing organization for it has given me once-in-a life-time opportunity. If Rotary wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have such an amazing experience through GSE.

P.S. I also visited your website and watched your introductory video. Inspirational.
