Interview

Q: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

  • A: My blog is there since 2007 November. Yes, it’s a blog started with highly focused subject, personal finance and investment, to that I have complete passion and life experience to.

Q: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

  • A: As I mentioned above, my blog totally dedicated to Personal finance and Investment subject. Money Hackers featuring articles and podcasts on these subjects along with family finance, child investments, money saving tips, insurance, retirements etc. Detailed information about the subjects can be received from this Guided Tour section in Money Hacker blog.
  • Yes. I am running and maintaining Money Hacker blog alone.

Q.: How important is it for the blogger to interact with their readers? Do you respond to all the comments that you receive?

  • A: It is ultimate, at least for me. I consider continuous interaction with readers as a crucial factor to become a better, successful blogger. As a proof to my nature, have a look at my blog. You would never find any comments under any article in my blog without my reply under it. Have a look at the “Links’ label in my blog to know and learn how could bloggers honor their commentators to the maximum. This would applicable to the receiving mails and followers to my twitter account as well.

Q: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

  • A: I have succeeded to make my blog as a global one than geo focused. I cover serious subject and of course, the traffic to my blog is less when compare with others. But I am sure; those visiting to my blog are serious readers than just a visitor! I am getting 200 to 250 daily visitors and it is increasing gradually. My blog has PR4 status and some of its keywords enjoying top ranks with Google. This is applicable to the searchers from anywhere in the globe.

Q: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

  • A: In my word, it’s my passion but of course, I am earning little income too. I have added ads in Money Hacker to meet the blogging expenses. At present, I am in a growing stage and I don’t think this is the time for me to quit. I never want to mix passion to a profession as long as I have enough time to manage my passion along with profession.
  • I found the combination of my profession and passion is good to generate 2 way active-passive incomes. In the same way, I found the combination of my profession, passion and self interest driven practical activities lead by this passion (e.g. investing) is effective to generate a better three way active-passive-passive income!

Q: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

  • · A: I love to read articles from  ProBlogger.net and videos of  entrepreneurs-journey.com by Yaro Starak.

Q: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

  • A: Creating articles from own experience is the best way to succeed as a blogger. One doesn’t have passion to a subject; generally doesn’t have anything to share from life. It shows the importance of passion related blogging or the blog will die within 6 months or one year.

Q: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

  • A: Yes. Through blogging, blogger trying to expose any advanced skills to others on the subject to where they have real passion to. I feel I have succeeded in passion led blogging because; I am sharing my own experiences to readers than advising them on an impossible, non-experienced subject.

Q: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

  • A: Of course, it is not related to blogging. Each time I heard the news, birth of my 2 baby girls are the most excited and happiest time in my life.
  • I am sad when see a crying kid or helpless old agers.

Q: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

  • A: Excellent question. It’s all depends of the sponsor and how he is sponsoring. Depends on the information, I select my destinations and figure it out which is best suitable to go ahead with. I am an Indian and proud on that. I preferred to select to go somewhere in India where I have not visited.
  • For the second question, it’s all depends on the situation and nature of travel. I pick my best friend if the travel is suitable to them or go alone or with my spouse. All depends on where, how and when.

Q: How has blogging helped you other than money?

  • A: I have got lots of friends with similar thoughts. Satisfies when acquiring and sharing knowledge to those in need. I even consider this interview as an honor to me. Taking it as a chance to inform others to visit my blog and contact me if any help required from my limited knowledge.
