Interview

Q: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

  • A: First of all, I wanted to thank you. It’s been six months since I have started blogging seriously. Before that I was just playing on blogger widgets and templates, wasting time on my blog and other stuff. I created my blog for writing blah blah fun thoughts which come to my mind randomly but as days pass by it turned to be a simple fun filled tech blog.

Q: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

  • A: On Steal-Ideas – It’s all about Internet, Web Applications, Social Media, Utilities, Operating Systems, Blogging and SEO Tips.
  • On Explore Orkut – I just love the social networking site Orkut. So, I Explore and write about orkut communities, events, bugs, and finally it helps you to stay beautiful and surf safe on Orkut making your social life more active and stimulating.
  • You can find every post having some innovative ideas behind it and I don’t write things which make my readers bored. Currently I am the only writer of both the blogs.

Q.: How important is it for the blogger to interact with their readers? Do you respond to all the comments that you receive?

  • A: For a successful blogger, Interacting with his readers is must. Blogging is a two-way communication tool. So that when we interact with readers, we can know their taste and write/blog according to that. It not only improves our blog readership, but also receiving feedbacks and suggestions on regular basis help us to build a clean online relationship. I reply to all the comments in my blog and also respond emails from my readers.

Q: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

  • A: On Steal-Ideas – 400+ daily visitors (65% from Search engines) and Visitors are mostly from United States, India, Canada, Philippines and Australia.
  • On Explore Orkut – 200+ daily visitors and they are mostly from India, Pakistan and Brazil.

Q: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

  • A: I Started Blogging as a passion and when I got introduced to Adsense, it turned to be a medium for my pocket money. To be frank, No one will waste their time and energy for blogging when they didn’t earn anything from it (knowledge is set apart) but how will you pay your internet bills? When money comes in, automatically passion also comes in. Don’t ask me how? Simple – Increase your passion and make money from it.

Q: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

  • A: The Man behind Shoutmeloud.com – Harsh, Chaaps.com – Chethan, Blogtechnika.com – Himanshu, DailyBlogTips.com – Daniel Scocco, Problogger.net – The Man on Green T-shirt – Darren Rowse, Digital Inspiration – Amit Agarwal etc.

  • Don’t give up – Be patience – Post 1 article a day – Respect your readers – Success on your way.
