Interview

Q1: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

A1: I personally started Mobile Gyaan as a SMS group (in early 2007) on India’s free group messaging service- SMSGupShup, but later I realized that I need to come up with any other medium to share mobile related stuffs on a large basis, and it is then, I started MobileGyaan.com in August, 2008. Apart from that, I am also an editor at rtBlogs (A networked blog concept initiated by Rahul Bansal).

Q2: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

A2: As the name of my blog goes “Mobile Gyaan”, its all about sharing “Gyaan” (Knowledge) about mobile related stuff. I like to blog interesting facts, news and tips & tricks about mobiles here.  As of now, Mobile Gyaan is authored exclusively by me.

Q3: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

A3: To be frank, my blog gets approximately 500 daily unique hits.

Q4: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

A4: Presently I blog at Mobile Gyaan just to share interesting things about Mobiles (additional pocket money never hurts ;)) and as I am preparing for Chartered Accountancy, I have not yet decided what will I be taking up as profession in the future, but, its for sure, I’ll be sharing Mobile ‘Gyaan’ whether or not I take blogging as a full-time profession. J

Q5: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

A5: Though, the list of blogs I follow is quite versatile, but, when ever I think about blog/bloggers, the first person come to my mind is Rahul Bansal from Devils Workshop. He has always been an inspiration for me. Apart from that, it’s obviously some other pro blogger like Amit Agarwal.

Q6: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

A6: I think I am not that experienced in blogging field yet, still, from my past (blogging) experiences I have learned, to be a successful ‘pro- blogger’, you must have a “do not give up attitude”. And believe me, it helps in several ways! J

Q7: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

A7: Yes, at least in this virtual online world, as it helps me interact with many great personalities.

Q8: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

A8: Happiest – To be interviewed on Zee News for discovering some of the vulnerable and dangerous flaw in SMS technology. Incase you are interested to have a look on my TV interview, here’s a short video clip uploaded.

Gloomy – I rarely keep such things in mind. So it’s hard for me to describe my life’s gloomiest moment.

Q9: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

A9: No, I would infact, ask my sponsors to get me some of the best and expensive gadgets and phones like Mac book pro, iPhone, Android G1, palm-pre, play stations, etc instead of sponsoring my international tour. 😉

Q10: Are you into watching movies? If yes, which fills your list of favorite ones?

A10: I hardly have any other activities apart from studying, browsing, blogging and digging my computer and cell phones.. Still some of my favorite bollywood movies are Rang de basanti, A Wednesday, Dasvidaniya, Luck.

Q11: How has blogging helped you other than money?

A11: It helped me interact with many great personalities, which would have never been possible had I not been into blogging.

Q12: What would be the one thing you’d change about yourself?

A12: I really feel bad about my “un-scheduled” life (especially my sleeping habits). I really wish I had control on it, but no luck!

Q13: What is your deepest fear?

A13: To be parted with my computer and cell phones.

Q14: If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

A14: None! 😀

Q15: Which is your favorite television show? Favorite songs?

A15:  As mentioned earlier, I hardly have interest on any other activity except studying, browsing the internet and blogging. But, sometimes I like listening to slow track music.

Q16: How much money do you have in your purse/wallet right now (including change)?

A16: Five Hundred and Eighty six. By the way, I wonder, what is this question doing in this ‘interview’ questionnaire?

Speakbindas: No offence but just for fun!

Q17: What is your favorite food? Any particular dislikes?

A17: Love eating spicy food.

Q18: What’s your take on the technological advancement these days? Does it make people’s life simple or complicated?

A18: Of course, technological advancement is making life simpler and easy in many ways.

Q19: List out the 10 bloggers you believe should be interviewed by Speakbindas.com.

A19: These are some of the bloggers, who a budding blogger should always follow to be a successful pro blogger

-Rahul Bansal

-Amit Agarwal

-Mani Karthik

-Pavan Kumar

-Harsh Agrawal

-Sitakanta

Of all the blogger listed here, I think some of them are already been interviewed on Speakbindas.

Q20: Any special message you would like to share with your blog readers as well with everyone else?

A20: As my parents say, be passionate, regular and give your best to whatever you do. There is always some reward for your hard work.
