I am Abhilash Rajendran and I write www.hindu-blog.com My blog deals with Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). Updates about festivals, daily quotes plus all positive latest developments related to Hindu Religion.

I am a Post Graduate in Literature, a freelance writer and a student of Sanatana Dharma. I presently live in Pune.

My passions are Sanatana Dharma (Upanishads), Nature and Movies (Iranian, Hollywood plus Indian movies that are different from the normal movies.)

Q1: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

A1: Namaste. I am blogging from 2006. It began as part of my study of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). I began to blog seriously when I failed to find some crucial and correct information on the Internet. So I began to update whatever new information I came across regarding a particular subject related to Hindu Religion.

Q2: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

A2: It is all about Hinduism – all the latest developments plus information on festivals and important happenings. I alone write the blog.

Q3: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

A3: I am not much into statistics but I believe I get more than a hundred visitors daily from all around world. Most visitors are from India and United States

Q4: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

A4: It is also a small medium of earning as it helps in maintaining the blog. Blogging is not that big in India to quit the day job.

Q5: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

A5: Lifehacker, Digital Inspiration, Make Use Of, Mashable, Problogger etc

Q6: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

A6: Be honest in what you are doing.

Q7: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

A7: Yes, it helps to reach out to people with similar interest and ideas.

Q8: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

A8: Happiest moment is when I started receiving good and meaningful comments on my blog. Gloomiest is when people copy your well-researched content without giving credit but that is part of the game we can’t do much about it.

Q9: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

A9: Kailash, Kashi and Amarnath. Abode of Lord Shiva. I would like to go alone.

Q10: Are you into watching movies? If yes, which fills your list of favorite ones?

A10: Yes, As Good As It Gets, Jerry Maguire, Forrest Gump – Several Iranian Movies like Where is the Friend’s home?, Through the Olive Trees etc

Q11: How has blogging helped you other than money?

A11: Yes in making good friends and in widening my knowledge base.

Q12: What would be the one thing you’d change about yourself?

A12: Reduce my time on the Internet.

Q13: What is your deepest fear?

A13: Nothing

Q14: If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

A14: Sage Ashtavakra of the Ashtavakra Gita

Q15: Which is your favorite television show? Favorite songs?

A15: Richard Attenborough’s planet earth

Q16: How much money do you have in your purse/wallet right now (including change)?

A16: 1546

Q17: What is your favorite food? Any particular dislikes?

A17: Dosa and Idli. No dislikes

Q18: What’s your take on the technological advancement these days? Does it make people’s life simple or complicated?

A18: It makes life simple if you know learn to keep technology in its place.

A19: I will need to do a research but you can start with Darren Browse of Problogger.net, Brian Clark of Copy Blogger, of course Amit Agrawal of Digital Inspiration if you had not interviewed him so far.

Q20: Any special message you would like to share with your blog readers as well with everyone else?

A20: Blog and share your ideas with the world. It might make a positive difference in someone’s life.

    Dear mr. Abhilash,

    I went through the interview with special interest.
    I am believer of Santan Dharma since my childhood.At that time my passion was Krishnavatar Katha.
    I also went through Krishnavatar by shri.K.M. Muhshi.
    I would love to go throgh Upnishada,Bramana Granth and even Vedas.But it is uphill task at this junkar.
    I would like to know from you something.First it is said that Hinduism is not religion but an ethics. Say somthing about it.Secondly I want to know about Sanatan Dharma.Thairdly about Dwait and Adwait phenomena.
    Please take your own time to satisfy the querries.
