Himanshu Yadav

Hi everyone, I am Himanshu Yadav, a B.Tech. Graduate from New Delhi, India. I am a professional Blogger. I run a blog called Blogtechnika and Helloicy. I am passionate for blogging. My hobbies are reading books, surfing and discovering cool sites on internet and listening to music.

Q1: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

  • A1: I didn’t know the ABC of blogging till February, 2009. I get introduced to blogging when I attended a mega event Wordcamp India. I met lots of professional bloggers including Matt Mullenweg, Om Malik, Amit Agarwal, Abhijeet Mukherjee and lots of other bloggers. I was heavily influenced by these great people. I indulged in blogging activity after that and finally now I am a professional Blogger.

Q2: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

  • A2: Blogtechnika is a niche blog covering topics like Blogging, WordPress and Social Media tips. I covered lots of topics including Blogging, WordPress, Make money online, SEO , Facebook and Twitter.
  • Helloicy is a blog about technology, Web 2.0, Social Media, Social networking, Google, Windows, Computer tips etc.
  • Currently I am the only writer of both the blogs.

Q3: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

  • A3: Since Blogtechnika is new (just two months old) I am getting less traffic but I am satisfied with it, I know it will gradually increase. In upcoming months I am expecting traffic of 1000. Most of the traffic came from India and US. And I am glad to announce that today my blog completes 1000 comments.
  • Helloicy is getting traffic of 1000+ unique visitors. Most of them are from India, US and Indonesia.

Q4: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

  • A4: Blogging is my passion; even I can’t live without it. And if passion is a source of money for you then nothing would be better than that. Frankly speaking I am not earning a lot from my blogs. My main source of income is Freelancing services I offered through my blog. But I expect a decent increase in income from Google Adsense and Buy Sell ads in the upcoming months.

Q5: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

  • A5: My favorite bloggers are Daniel Scooco of Dailyblogtips, Darren Rowse of Problogger, Maki of Doshdosh. Apart from them I love to read Indian Blogs like Shoutmeloud of Harsh Agarwal, Honeytechblog of Honey Singh, Quickonlinetips of Pchere, Digital Inspiration of Amit Agarwal and Blogsdna of Sandeep Dedhia.

Q6: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

  • A6: Consistency, hard work and innovation are the pillars of blogging. Don’t expect too much traffic or income in starting; it requires almost 6 months of hard work and patience to generate a decent income from your blog. Never run behind stats. If you do blogging better your stats will automatically become better.

Q7: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

  • A7: Blogging completes me in lots of sense. Blogging made me disciplined; it shows a correct path to me. Apart from all that blogging gives lots of knowledge and satisfaction and fame to me.

Q8: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

  • A8: Every new achievement is a happiest moment of life. I got a money (20$) in my PayPal account for freelancing work, that was the happiest moment because before that I thought Making money from blogging is hoax. Second happiest moment is this interview obviouslyJ.

Q9: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?
