Set up goals and mark steps you need to follow: Saurabh Kumar

If I am the guy who interests you, let me tell you more about me but before that let me demand no less interest from you! I am Saurabh Kumar (my nickname on internet and offline world – SaurabhStar). I am from Bihar (believe it), India. I’ve just turned up 18.

I am a wrapped writer, a romantic lover, a philosopher by instinct, a tech enthusiast (I don’t call myself geek) who thinks that he is the luckiest in the world and that everything is under our control (we just don’t know how to control yet.) I started blogging lately and niche to start was ” love ” ;). Q: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

* Ans.: I started blogging since late February 2009. I started blogging just to let my writing creativity speak for my analytical insight into things. And niche for my first blog was LOVE on blogspot platform.

Q: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

* Ans.: Well, I have more than 1 blog (3 at present) but I am not able to devote enough time to each. While my most active blog is http://freetechjournal.com . My other blogs are http://vlovers.com and http://sitemaster.in/blog . I maintain each blog myself.
* Let m limit the questionnaire to freetechjournal.com . I started this blog in late August 2009. This blog features editorial take on panorama of promising technology coupling beginner’s technology tricks and advanced tech tips. This blog is about tech news, reviews, windows tips and more.

Q.: How important is it for the blogger to interact with their readers? Do you respond to all the comments that you receive?

* Ans.: There is no denying the fact that it is very momentous for the blogger to interact with their readers. Interaction takes off monotony and is more useful for blogger as he gains his enthusiasm for blogging.
* Ya, I do respond to all comments that I receive except spam 😉

Q: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

* Ans.: For freetechjournal.com , it is just about 4500 + unique visits with about 7000 + pageviews per month and most visitors are from India and US. While the more than 80 % traffic comes from search engine. It is at pr1. vlovers being pr3 blog.

Q: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

* Ans.: Blogging has earlier been just a passion but now a medium for earning also. No, it doesn’t. I am not on job either.

Q: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

* Ans.: Raju at techpp.com , Satish at geniushackers.com – These two bloggers, I have personally interacted with and was impressed. While I would also like to mention about Gourav Sharma of gstek.info who has great managerial capability in forum development. The best friend that this virtual world has given me is ASHWIN of win-rapidshare.info .
* I have subscribed to digg daily email updates, mashable, techcrunch, cnet and all my friend bloggers. I especially like reading material on blogs of friend bloggers.

Q: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

1. Your starting 6 months would hardly fetch you income.
2. Networking with fellow bloggers is very important. Traffic from geeks also matter much.
3. Quality and quantity – Both should be maintained. Don’t just write 1 quality post a week but write 1 post per day atleast with atleast 1 quality post in a week.
4. Don’t give up. Be persistent, set up goals and mark steps you need to follow.
5. Don’t blog on blogspot, wordpress.com . Better start your own blog on your own domain name and hosting. (You can purchase cheapest domain & hosting from http://sitemaster.in – My own service.)
6. SEO is must. Take kind care while deciding title, slug, keywords of your posts. Read more about SEO and don’t hesitate to experiment reasonably.

Q: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

* Ans.: No, Blogging doesn’t complete me. I aspire for more and greater than just blogging.

Q: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

* Ans.: It is unclear to me. I consider this secret to me yet.

Q: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

Ans.: 1. Las Vegas – I am now adult 😉

2. Japan – Want to see the technology flourishing there.

3. Any place which is fully private and peaceful where there is no one to disturb – want to spend romantic moments with my girlfriend.

Q: Are you into watching movies? If yes, which fills your list of favorite ones?

* Ans.: I am very good at watching movies. Titanic, Bourne series, Basic Instinct, Fast and Furious, Tokyo drift, Shawshank redemption, American Pie, crank, ……. – The list is too long to write here. I also watch bollywood movies – Rehna hai Tere dil me, Namaste London, Taare Zameen Par, etc..

Q: How has blogging helped you other than money?

* Ans.: Blogging has helped me meet new talents, opened up my mind to wide range of stuff out there. Blogging has instilled in me a sense of achievement and celebration of smallest success.

Q: What would be the one thing you’d change about yourself?

* Ans.: Inconsistency – I am not consistent and regular about my goals and that proves to be a big hindrance in success lying just a few steps ahead.

Q: What will you do without internet?

* Ans.: Interact with my girlfriend 🙂

Q: What is your deepest fear?

* Ans.: Not sure about it as I haven’t experienced as such.

Q: If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

* Ans.: Mahatma Gandhi

Q: Which is your favorite television show? Favorite songs?

* Ans.: I don’t watch regular television shows. It is hard to say which one is your favorite song when every new day, you are stuck to another song. I usually listen to Hindi Songs – Nazar Nazar me raho (Nazar movie), Man ki lagan (Paap), Man tu talebat .. etc..

Q: How much money do you have in your purse/wallet right now (including change)?

* Ans.: Rs. 8311

Q: What is your favorite food? Any particular dislikes?

* Ans.: Don’t ask me about food or colors. I just can’t answer.

Q: What’s your take on the technological advancement these days? Does it make people’s life simple or complicated?

* Ans.: Technological advancement has made people’s life simple and easy. I appreciate gift of technology and wonder what the future has in store for us. While one of the prominent impact of technology is – relations and people have distanced.

Q: What do you think of “blogging is the next BIG thing”?

* Ans.: Why next ? Blogging is big thing in the way and value it returns to blogger while the blogging as action is small and easy for everyone.

Q: Any special message you would like to share with your blog readers as well with everyone else?

* Ans.: Never prove to be hindrance to development of your surroundings. Always support development of people and competitors around you. This will create space for your development. Believe me this way, you can develop more greatly.
