Blogging is a great way to relax after a stressful day: Malini Mohankumar

Long long ago so long born and brought up in TamilNadu. Typical Geminian[Geminians are preppie and mod, colorful and exciting.] and my papa stamped me with the name called “Malini Mohan Kumar” and my family and friends kept short name and calls me “Mali” but in my profession I am better known as “Malini”.

Right now I am working in Hyderabad as Project Manager in IT Software Service Oriented company. Till my college days I used to take part in all sports and cultural activities and won many individual/Team awards. I would describe myself as someone who is fun-loving, open, adaptable, caring, thoughtful, honest person who enjoys life and try to see the positive in everything. I am very outgoing and socially orientated who enjoys being active and interactive. I enjoy life and laugh a lot and make others laugh too.I like  to spend in the net explore places, culture, technology and few interesting things.I like..I like..think I like almost everything in my life. I truly respect and believe all my close friends and family members. My soul mate is the core support structure of my life.

Q: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

Ans.:  Generally when I look around me and just listen, observe and embrace daily activities, I find myself being motivated and especially two bloggers inspired me – Srinivas (srinibyte.com) Somaditya of somaditya.com.

Q: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

Ans.:  My blog just reflects me and my activities. I just leave my blog for months together without posting any new content or updating my activities. I should call myself as “Seasonal blogger” or Mood blogger”. There is no specific topic that I focus. My blog helps me to share about the joys, experience and challenges of daily life. I will be publishing my own site and you will get to see that soon.

Q.: How important is it for the blogger to interact with their readers? Do you respond to all the comments that you receive?

Ans.: “I always respond to all comments on my blogs, because it builds and creates very nice relationships, and keep the conversations flowing back and forth” – Aah! Wish I can do this but in reality I would take good amount of time to respond to people’s comment but I would be interested to hear how others typically respond to my views.

Q: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

Ans.:  I am having friends from all around the world who visits my blog  to know what’s exciting stuff  happening with me  and how am I doing in my life  apart from them I do not have general huge public traffic and I haven’t tried yet to create the traffic to my blog.

Q: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

Ans.:  Looking for a great way to relax after a stressful day? Why not try blogging? That’s how I see my blog and of course it helps me to manage my stress and anxiety. Earning money online is not that easy and it requires lot of dedication and hard work.  May be in future! Not now!

Q: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

Ans.: of course Speakbindas.com !  subscribed to many blogs and keep visiting few interesting blogs like Hellboundbloggers.com, shoutmeloud.com, technogati.com, choosyinfo.com, srinibytes.blogspot.com, somaditya.com many more etc..

Q: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

Ans.:  Online web provides you freedom to share your thoughts and feelings but you need to be honest. Never bothered whether people are interested/visiting your blog or not. Never give up! Keep writing…Don’t let your spirit go down. Avoid focusing only on monetary benefits.

Q: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

Ans.:  Blogging helps me to relax my mind and of course I will have a nice and sound sleep if I could post something good on my blog.

Q: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

Ans.:  This is really making me to stroll through my life. Hm..!  Right now I am feeling happy and lucky when I fill this document because this is my first online interview so I consider this is one of my happiest moments in 2010.

Q: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

Ans.: I would love to visit and travel with my soul mate a) I love colorful flowers so my first place would be “Valley of flowers” [http://www.flowersofindia.net/vof-trek/index.html]. b) Second place would be Amazon River & forest. c) I feel lively & cheerful when I get to see wild animals so my third place would be South African wild life.

Q: Are you into watching movies? If yes, which fills your list of favorite ones?

Ans.:  Generally I prefer to watch survival and relationship drama Or Romance and comedy. Such as “The Edge”, “Notting hill”, “Ice age”, “UP” etc. I don’t prefer paying money and troubling myself to watch heavy emotional or scary movies.

Q: How has blogging helped you other than money?

Ans.:  It helped me to meet and connect good number of beautiful people and I have received their encouragement through their comments.

Q: What would be the one thing you’d change about yourself?

Ans.:  Look wise? Or Personality wise? Many things to change especially my impulsive nature.

Q: What will you do without internet?

Ans.:  I love colors and I would love to do kiddo paintings, Reading books, Listening to music, may be just lie down and chit chat with my family members or on mobile

Q: What is your deepest fear?

Ans.:  Death of my loved ones, Ghost, Darkness and Snake

Q: If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

Ans.; To be honest I don’t want to meet any dead person. I want to meet Lord Krishna.

Q: Which is your favorite television show? Favorite songs?

Ans.:  Swap wife & incredible India from Travel & Living channel

Friends & Oprah from Starworld channel

illayaraja songs are my favorite.

Q: How much money do you have in your purse/wallet right now (including change)?

Ans.: 54 Rs/-.  This reminds me to go to ATM to draw money.

Q: What is your favorite food? Any particular dislikes?

Ans.:  I am a finicky eater and all time favorite food is curd rice and potato fry[Mom’s preparation].

Q: What’s your take on the technological advancement these days? Does it make people’s life simple or complicated?

Ans.:  Technology advancement has grown tremendously in our life and naturally it has lot of benefits such as medical, I.T, educational. Today I can see and hear what’s happening in other part of world and connect with their culture. All these things we never had before. Emails are replaced our letters and chats are replaced our face to face interactions. Changes are happening just like that but how to take advantage and control of it? Especially these technologies are having more impact on our kids – 2030 how would they be? I am not against in going advance in technology but what I see is that people are turning to be penny-wise and pound foolish.

Q: What do you think of “blogging is the next BIG thing”?

Ans.:  “Small and short” is going to be the Big thing.  Blog and Podcast for mobile technology is going to be the big next thing

Q: Any special message you would like to share with your blog readers as well with everyone else?

Ans.:  “Share your valuable information with Honest” – Being honest is like being pregnant or alive. You either are, or you’re not. There is no half way, no mostly, about any of those things isn’t the same way you should share your views, feelings, thoughts, information, your joy, your sad and your life? I strongly believe that we should  because you blog will be read by millions of strangers across the world so dig into yourself, your life, and the things you are passionate about and then share them never mind whether it’s good or bad.
