Special video – Important Body Language Tips

Excerpt of Interview

Q.: You have vast knowledge about body language. You can conduct a continuous two days’ seminar on this subject. Tell us what is body language all about?

Graph of your mind’s internal condition is represented by the body in different actions which is called your body language. It is said that our mind can think of 500 words and speak 100 words in one minute. Hence, whatever thinking is going inside your mind is being reflected in form of body language.

If someone can scientifically observe others’ body language, it can be as easy as reading a book.

Q.: These days, many trainers are organizing seminars on mind power, motivation etc. Do you believe that the society needs this much of training?

It is said that our battery gets discharged with the passage of time! Attending such mind power, motivation related seminar may help us get inspired and remain motivated. But yes, only external motivation is not enough. That should come from within too. You will find many seminars where many good things will be taught, and in addition to that you too must feel the flow of your internal motivational channel. Once you develop a skill to motivate ownself you tend to improve the quality of your day to day work. One must always do something for the sake of excellence, which provides motivation from within.

Q.: When we talk about internal motivation and when we have supporting phrases such as “Everything is within” and “Believe in yourself”, do you think that we do really need motivation from external resources?

I would like to clear one thing that, it is not that we do not need motivation from external resources. It’s like say there is a file in your computer which you are not able to open. So what you do is find an appropriate software that helps you open the file. Likewise, for sure we have the potential within in us, but to make that potential perform we need external motivation. External motivation can come from various resources such as our colleagues, management Gurus, elders, authorized trainers, dignitaries etc. With the help of external motivation we can work with betterment.

Q.: Like you mentioned about authorized trainers, tell us about the institution “J.C.I.” from where you have received your training.

J.C.I. stands for Junior Chamber International which is a federation for the youth. Henry “HY” Giessenbier is the founding president of J.C.I. It is the only organization in the world which works in the field of providing training to youth. J.C.I. is not much involved with charity work but rather into human development and training. We believe in teaching someone fishing rather than feeding him with a fish. Based on this belief, our organization provides training to youth worldwide who then carry it forward in their countries and cities. Our aim is to strengthen the message of world peace.

Q.: Prior to becoming a motivational trainer, you were a tailor. Tell us something about your past as well as what made you chose the field of training people on various motivational subjects?

After graduating I applied for few Government and private jobs. I successfully cleared the written tests but somehow didn’t appear for oral tests. I chose to take upon our forefathers’ business of tailoring. I did the tailoring professional very successfully. Having a passion for designing, I did my work creatively.

One day a thought struck to my mind which said “Will I die as a good tailor only?” and post to this thought another thought came as an answer which said “No, I will die as a good human who will be remembered for his good deeds.”

Hence, I joined J.C.I. and applied for training course. Among 30 invited trainers from around the country, I was one of 12 trainers who passed through the exams and awarded as a National Trainer. I also passed another exam of a Prime Trainer. Thus started my career as a trainer. Now, I also train others. I am really happy with the kind of feedbacks I have received from people who have attended my training programs.

The then President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam has dreamed India as a super power in the year 2020. To support his vision, I share my inspiring thoughts with the youth who will turn Dr. Kalam’s dream into reality. So I don’t conduct training programs to entertain myself but I think it in such a way that, my small attempts will strengthen Dr. Kalam’s giant dream.

With his Award

Q.: These days we observe suicidal tendency in youth and students for various reasons. What according to you is the reason for this tendency, and how can they overcome it?

Very true. On the very first failure in life, they tend to develop a suicidal attitude. I believe that the competition era plays a huge role into this. Competition is everywhere, in education, profession and business. When they fail in such a competitive atmosphere, they feel like their life is finished. They do not know that there is another side too that exists which can put them in the right track. This is when mind trainers and counselors do come into picture.

Hence I believe that if schools, colleges and corporate sectors do organize motivational programs, such a tendency will be diminished. They will start learning different sides of life. Every question is made up of 360 degrees. Now if someone thinks of that question with just 45 degrees, he will miss out rest of 315 degrees.

We have a concept of ‘Finishing School.’ Every person is a diamond, but a rough one. Students have studied all the required subjects but without the direction to apply it, they are like rough diamonds. If motivation trainers do polish them, they start sparkling and achieve the right finishing.

Q.: Apart from workshops on mind power and body language, which other subjects you cover?

Apart from these two, I conduct workshops on Achievement, Motivation, Transactional Analysis, Leadership quality etc. Recently we organized a workshop which is based on filmy funda, under which we had selected four films, each describing different quality of leadership. From film ‘Bawarchi’ we designed a training program with theme of ‘Servant Leadership’, from ‘Lagaan’ we designed ‘Emerging Leadership’, from ‘Chak De India’ we organized ‘Dedicated Leadership’ and from ‘Guru’ we designed training program on ‘Visionary Leadership.’

Apart from that I conduct workshops on Public Speaking, Parenting, Child Psychology, Teachers’ training, Professor training, in-house training in corporate sectors etc.

My another specialty is that I conduct workshop dedicated to particular part of society such as Patel community, Ismail Khoja community, Vhora community, Nagar community etc. You name it and I have mostly conducted a workshop for that community and inspired and motivated its youth who are the base of our country’s development.

Various awards of Bharat Dudakia

Q.: In this era of different kinds of trainers, we also see young trainers advising people to dream BIG such as having a Mercedes Benz. Now in few cases, the trainer himself doesn’t own one. What you have to say about this dual situation?

Sometimes what happens is that few people do find some inspirational powerpoint presentation from internet, read related books and start giving workshops with them without digesting them in totality. It’s like blood is made only after the food that we have eaten is digested. Same applies for trainers too. It is of no importance if a trainer provides training on a subject he hasn’t understood in depth. It’s a job of responsibility. When I am sharing some message with the participants, I must be responsible for what I am saying. There should be ethics in it. I can not share my personal beliefs with them. I should be sharing the universal truth only.

It’s true that some trainers show such big dreams of Mercedes Benz and all, where infact they don’t have one nor they become successful in getting their participant having one! Making people only to dream big is not enough. You must develop the reciprocating skills too. There is a process of goal setting. Incase, he fails in goal setting, he must have knowledge about resetting that goal. Few trainers do not have such skills. They do not even know how their attitude is. Without proper attitude even knowledge and goal setting skills are not useful. I mean, there are various such skills that a trainer must have.

As a trainer, we mostly work on three sides:

1. Behavioral change of the participant
2. Update his skills and make him more powerful
3. Increase his knowledge

This system has a mechanism where at first need assessment should be done of the participants attending your workshop. But these days what few trainers do is that instead of doing the need assessment of participants they start giving whatever they have. They are not bothered about what people want. Only certified trainers are real good at need assessment system.

Q.: Sometimes what may happen is that trainers give some useful message to participants to overcome some issues, but when such problem arises in their life, they may feel low confidence, hesitation etc. Generally, common people consider such trainers as the perfect people. But fact can be totally a different one. What you have to say about it?

Afterall, everyone is a human. And being a human, chances are that in their life some time comes when they feel setback. As a trainer, one must accept the fact that life will have some tight situations too. Even Lord Krishna’s life had such an example where during one battle he runs away from the battle field. For his such deed, he is known and worshipped as ‘Ranchhod.’ What Krishna taught by this example is that in a life such setbacks will come when you have to run away. But this must be observed consciously.

But when in a trainer’s life he gets upset and gets dismotivated in some situations, he too needs counseling. Afterall he too is a human like all others.

Q.: In many a mind training workshops, we get to hear few words about dreams. What you have to say about dreams?

Watching dreams is an automatic process in every human, mostly when we are at sleep. But I believe that the true dream is the one which doesn’t let you sleep. Such a dream which may be for some achievement in life, if doesn’t let you sleep, is a true dream. The then President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam has said that the biggest crime is to have a small dream. So I believe that one must have the realistic dreams and then work harder to accomplish them.

    Hi Mr. Moderator,
Its nice to find such useful & informative interview. Although I would be happier if Mr. Dudakia finds it suitable to answer my question : ” Sometimes, some seasoned politicians / Actors are successful in hiding their appropriate body language – rather most often they mislead us too – How to judge them correctly ?
